Caletus Video: built-in video meetings: Video calls, built in.

Caletus Video gives each booking its own video room that opens in the browser, with no outside video app to connect. Guests join from the link without a Caletus account, through a waiting room.

Setup

How to connect Caletus Video to Caletus.

Before you connect
  • A Caletus account. There's no third-party video account to connect.
  • A browser with a camera and microphone. Guests can still join if a device is missing.
  1. 1

Check the Native Video Meeting card

Open Integrations. The Native Video Meeting card is on by default and shows 'Active on booking'. If it's off, turn its switch on.
  2. 2

Choose Video meeting on an event

Go to Scheduling, click Create and pick an event type. Under Meeting places, select Video Meeting. New events start with it selected.
  3. 3

    Join at meeting time

Open the room link from the booking. On Professional and Enterprise, Caletus asks 'Enable Notetaker for this meeting?' before you join.
Access

What Caletus can access in Caletus Video

Rooms made for bookings start with the waiting room on, so the host admits each guest. Hosts can lock a meeting to stop anyone new from joining. Recordings play back through links that expire after one hour.
Permissions requested
  • No third-party account or access. Caletus Video runs inside Caletus.
  • Collects the display name each guest enters to join
  • Stores chat messages, and, when the host records or uses Notetaker, the recording, transcript, summary and action items
If you disconnect: Turning the Native Video Meeting switch off removes Video meeting from the meeting places you can pick when creating or editing an event. Meetings already booked keep their rooms. Caletus won't let you turn off your last enabled meeting place.
Good to know

Caletus Video limits and quick fixes.

  • Recording, downloads and AI summaries need a Professional or Enterprise plan.
  • Polls and the shared board are host features on the Enterprise plan.
  • Group events share one room: everyone who books the same group meeting gets the same link.
  • Calls run in the browser, so participants need a browser that can use their camera and microphone.
Fixing common Caletus Video problems
  • The waiting room is on. The host opens 'Participants waiting to join' in the room and admits them.

Common questions about using Caletus Video with Caletus.

Talk it through with our team
  • No. Guests open the join link from their booking, type their name and join in the browser. Rooms made for bookings have the waiting room on, so the host admits each guest before they come in. Nothing needs to be installed for the call.

  • Yes, on Professional and Enterprise. Before joining, the host can turn on Notetaker, which records the meeting and prepares the transcript, summary, notes and action items after it ends. Hosts can also start and stop recording from the room. The Free plan can't record.

  • No. Caletus Video is built in and on by default, so every booking with Video meeting gets its own room without connecting another app. If you'd rather use Zoom, Google Meet, Webex or Whereby, connect it in Integrations and pick it on your event.
